Back to Lesson List

HOW LONG DOES GOD ACCEPT US IN CHRIST?

As you read this lesson, be sure to hover over the the Bible verses to read them or look them up in your own Bible. When the Bible passage is longer, you need to click on “more” in the bottom right corner of the pop-up window.

What would it take for God to no longer accept us?

  1. No one can take us out of the hands of God the Father and God the Son. Once we have eternal life, we will never perish. John 10:27-30 (KJV) Compare translations and the original language

Satan is not stronger than God. We are not stronger than God. No one can take us out God’s hands from the moment we believe the Gospel.

  2. Nothing can separate a believer from God’s love in Christ. Jesus prays for us. Romans 8:32-39 (NASB) Compare translations and the original language

Nothing in our past, present, or future will ever separate us from God’s love in Christ from the moment we believe. Praise God!

  3. When we believe the Gospel, He seals our hearts with His Spirit as a guarantee that we are His and that He is coming for us. Ephesians 1:13-14 (NASB); Ephesians 4:30 (KJV) Compare translations and the original language

Thank God that He definitely is coming back for all believers.

  4. The death of Jesus paid for all the sins that we will ever commit. His death paid for our sin for all time. Hebrews 10:10-14 (NKJV) Compare translations and the original language

Jesus took our sin once for all!

  5. Jesus is alive forever so He saves us forever. Hebrews 7:22-25 (NASB) Compare translations and the original language

Jesus prays for us in heaven.

  6. Jesus saves us forever, because God cannot lie. Titus 1:1-3 (KJV) Compare translations and the original language

Before the world began, God promised to save us through Jesus. Our sin is no surprise to God!

Consider memorizing one of the following passages (in whichever translation you prefer) as a summary of this lesson: John 10:27-30 (NASB) or Romans 4:5 (KJV) or Romans 8:38-39 (NKJV) or Hebrews 10:39 (ESV).

When we share the Gospel with someone, it is important that we listen when they talk. It is rude to talk over them.

For the sake of courtesy, testimony, relationship, and understanding, it is good that we listen more than we speak when telling others of Christ.

There’s a good chance that unbelievers are not familiar with biblical terms or Christian vocabulary. It is very important to define our terms in order to be understood.

We should take our time when sharing the Gospel so the unbeliever understands the message.

Ofttimes when sharing Christ, the unbeliever will try to turn the conversation away from the Gospel. We should do our best to keep the conversation focused on the Gospel and their response to it.
