God created you with dignity!

  1. God created mankind uniquely in His likeness. Genesis 5:1 (NKJV) Compare translations and the original language

You were made uniquely in the image of God. You have value because God made you in His image.

  2. God created them male and female. Genesis 1:27 (NASB) Compare translations and the original language

God assigned you the gender with which you were born.

  3. God created us with a soul, body, and spirit. 1 Thessalonians 5:23 (KJV) Compare translations and the original language

The elements of our being work together for or against God’s glory.

  4. God created us to be stewards (caretakers) of the land and rulers over the animals. Genesis 1:26 (NASB) Compare translations and the original language

God gave us the land and animals over which to rule for His glory and our good. We must be good stewards.

  5. God created all humans from one man named Adam. Acts 17:26 (ESV); Genesis 5:1-4 (NASB) Compare translations and the original language

We are all descendants of Adam and Eve. There is only one race, the human race.

  6. God created Adam from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life. Genesis 2:7 (KJV) Compare translations and the original language

We owe our very existence to God. Thank Him for giving you breath in your lungs!

  7. God created Eve from Adam’s side. Eve is the mother of all humans. Genesis 2:21-23 (NASB); Genesis 3:20 (ESV) Compare translations and the original language

The differences between man and woman are amazing! Praise God for His creativity!

  8. God created us. We did not evolve. Psalm 100:3 (NKJV) Compare translations and the original language

We are not the byproduct of random chance. Praise God for meaning and purpose!

  9. Every human knows that God is real because He has revealed Himself in the secrets of our hearts and in creation. Romans 1:18-25 (NASB) Compare translations and the original language

Even those who never have heard the Gospel know that God is real. When we suppress the truth, all we have left to believe is a lie.

  10. We were created with a conscience that demonstrates that God created us in His image. Romans 2:14-16 (ESV) Compare translations and the original language

Even if we never read the Bible, we know in our hearts that it is true.

  11. God created us in His image from the moment we were conceived in our mothers’ womb. Psalm 139:13 (ESV) Compare translations and the original language

Since God values children in their mothers’ wombs, we must as well. You were not an accident!

  12. God created us to know and glorify Him. Isaiah 43:7 (NKJV) Compare translations and the original language

The God of the universe wants to use you to show everyone that He is amazing. God wants you to know Him!

  13. God created the first two humans good. Ecclesiastes 7:29 (ESV) Compare translations and the original language

There was no evil, pain, or death in the beginning. God is not the originator of sin. What happened?

Consider memorizing one of the following passages (in whichever translation you prefer) as a summary of this lesson: Genesis 1:27 (KJV) or Psalm 139:13-14 (NASB) or Acts 17:26 (ESV).

It’s not enough for us simply to share the Gospel. We must be in our hearts, the kind of person that God wants us to be.

In order to convince others effectively of the saving, keeping power of God, we need to know Him ourselves personally.

God can’t use us as He pleases until we are set apart unto Him. The fruit of the Spirit and the life of faith and obedience are the foundation on which we are enabled to tell others about Jesus.

Our sin must be confessed and forsaken for us to effectively share Him with others. Our hearts’ desire must be for Him and His kingdom, not the world.

We share the Gospel to glorify God because He is worthy. God does not need us, but He delights in using us.
