Weekly Homework

The purpose of this homework is to help you to grow in your relationship with Jesus Christ and with others. It is not a checklist to complete in order to be godly. It is not meant to be burdensome. It is simply a tool to help you to grow. Enjoy the homework. Do your best to complete it, but recognize that God will allow interruptions into your life. Take your time, but don’t treat this lightly.

explanation of the homework

  • Daily Scripture Reading. Read the assigned chapter of the Bible and write down any questions that you have.

  • Daily Meditations. You will be assigned two scriptures to meditate upon. Look up the Bible verse from your preferred translation of the Bible. Then, write the verse out verbatim in your phone or on a notecard. Below each verse that you wrote, write the suggested thought/prayer. Then, try to read this card once an hour or throughout the day and pray about it each time that you read it. One verse is for your character development, the other verse is to help you become equipped to share the Gospel. If you strive to do this daily, you will likely memorize the verse.

  • Nightly Attributes of God. Watch one video a night or read five to six verses a night about the assigned attribute of God. Write down what you learn about God.

  • Weekly Topic. Read or watch the assigned Topic study. Write down any questions that you have about it. This study will help you understand how to become more like Christ and serve Him better.

  • Weekly Truth. Read or watch the assigned Truth lesson. Write down any questions that you have about it. This lesson will help you to understand basic teachings that every believer in Jesus should know.
